This is a family affair…

While, Erika is the primary operator of The Merry Makery, the entire Stevenson family is involved in one way or another! So, here’s the scoop on who we are:

• Darin and Erika have been married since 2003, and our current home has been our only home for the entirety of our marriage!

• We welcomed Lucy in 2008, Collin in 2009 and Nora in 2013. They are the best.

• We’ve been homeschooling for 12 years.

• Darin made The Merry Makery possible by creating the physical space for it. He added a two-story addition to our home with his own two hands (and lots of helpers that stepped in when we needed it the most!) He also supports Erika’s creative dreams more than she deserves.

• Lucy is the best cheerleader ever and is aways telling others about what we do. She is also an incredible babysitter, so if lack of childcare is preventing you from scheduling a lesson, she might be able to help you out!

• Collin is ready at a moment’s notice to do the heavy lifting (literally and figuratively) behind the scenes to make a lesson or class possible.

• Nora is well-practiced in just about every handicraft we teach. She is Erika’s right hand girl and often greets students at the door and helps Erika teach our summer day camps!

If you come for lessons often, you will most likely meet each of us at some point. We love God and each other and we are far from perfect. But we have joy and love to welcome others into our space. Our hope is for that joy to palpable to all who enter here!
